How does Charlotte Douglas International Airport, a City of Charlotte department, use IntelligenceBank?

Within the Aviation Department, we rely on IntelligenceBank to streamline the management of our extensive photo and video library. The platform is instrumental in enhancing our productivity by simplifying tasks such as searching, sharing and organizing visual assets. With its search functionality, we can quickly locate specific content within IntelligenceBank, saving valuable time and effort. Additionally, IntelligenceBank provides collaboration through its sharing features, allowing us to securely distribute selected photos and videos to stakeholders. The platform’s suite of organizational tools enables us to categorize and tag our assets helping us make the most of our assets.

Why is it important for Charlotte Douglas International Airport, a City of Charlotte department, to have a system like IntelligenceBank? 

Having a system like IntelligenceBank is important for our Airport to efficiently manage our extensive collection of photos and videos, for both internal and external purposes. The platform plays a huge role in streamlining tasks, including organizing our visual assets for newsletters, website content media sharing and distribution to external organizations such as local visitors’ bureaus and economic development organizations. By leveraging IntelligenceBank, we can access our photos and videos allowing us to more easily collaborate both internally and externally. This allows us a more efficient workflow process, making life easier for the team and helps us with our overall production.

What problems did IntelligenceBank’s DAM solve for Charlotte Douglas International Airport? 

IntelligenceBank gave us improved tools for photo library management, providing a centralized location of images that is easily searchable. Through asset tagging, we can easily access what we need, allowing efficiency and enhanced collaboration. This level of organization ensures that no image gets lost in the shuffle, allowing us to find quickly and make full use of our assets. With IntelligenceBank, navigating through our extensive photo library becomes a seamless experience, allowing fast and easy retrieval of any asset so that anyone can find exactly what they are looking for.

How does the self-serve platform help save time, streamline and improve how their stakeholders request, search and produce creative assets? 

Thanks to the self-service features, we have significantly reduced the time spent on file transfers via email or OneDrive. Collections have proved to be invaluable for sharing files with both internal team members and external contacts. By leveraging Collections, we can easily curate and share relevant files, ensuring that recipients have access to the necessary resources quickly and securely. This not only boosts collaboration, but also improves workflow efficiency, allowing us to focus more on core tasks rather than administrative overhead.

How did you launch IntelligenceBank internally?  What were the secrets to your success? 

Before initiating the internal launch, we put effort into organizing our assets in preparation for batch uploads. The expertise of IntelligenceBank’s implementation specialists proved invaluable during this process, as they readily answered all the questions our team had. Their availability and guidance helped with the transition, ensuring that our implementation proceeded smoothly and efficiently. The combination of preparing our assets and leaning on the IntelligenceBank implementation team, meant we were able to optimize our deployment. This approach not only streamlined the onboarding process but also laid a solid foundation for maximizing the benefits of IntelligenceBank across our organization going forward.

How have you been successful in getting people to use the system? 

The platform adoption was quick and easy among all members of the communications team. This underscored our readiness for a more user-friendly and efficient solution. Central to its success was the platform’s search functionality, which quickly showed itself as a feature crucial for streamlining workflows and accessing relevant content efficiently. 

What have been the results so far? 

Our onboarding experience with both our existing team members and new employees has been really smooth. Even with setting up the Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation, the process has stayed simple and efficient. Bringing on new users and employees has been straightforward, all thanks to how user-friendly the onboarding process is. The best part is that once SSO is implemented for a user, it makes the overall ease of use that much simpler since they can access the platform with minimal steps. Overall, our positive onboarding experience speaks volumes about how easy and flexible the platform is. It’s got us feeling confident that it’ll keep on supporting our team and keeping things running smoothly in the future. Additionally, the ability to share digital assets with external stakeholders in a quick and easy way has created opportunities for Airport photography to appear in more places and allowed us to support our stakeholders in this way. 

What do you love most about IntelligenceBank? 

At the top of the list is definitely the stellar customer support and the ease of use of the platform. Whenever we have needed help, our implementation manager and/or account manager have been there to guide us through any questions we run into. We also love how easy the platform is to use, especially when it comes to training new employees.

What’s next for Charlotte Douglas International Airport, a City of Charlotte department? 

We have a lot of historical images waiting to be digitized before they can be uploaded and added to our DAM. We are excited that we now have an organized platform in which these images can be housed in, making them easy to use, share and find.
